20 June 2010 // MWM completes Industry accredited training. Earlier this month I attended the Boating Industry Association annual "Marine Sales Professional Development" course over 2 days at the Middle Harbour Yacht Club. Sessions throughout the 2 days included presentations from industry experts on business management, legislative requirements and environmental issues. The BIA make the course available once a year in a bid to increase the level of professionalism amongst brokers in the marine industry. By doing so, we hope to alleviate some of the bad experiences that customers have had with the industry and develop a body of professionals that abide by a set of correct and legal standards that the public can be confident with.

Later in the month I also attended a seminar run by the Carsales (Boatpoint) network as to the merits of Internet based marketing. As this is something I strongly believe in I have added some interesting facts from this seminar to my "Listing your boat with Matthew Willett Marine" pdf at our website.
