This is an original one-owner S & S 34, launched in 1970. Successfully raced offshore including Sydney-Hobarts in her early days and later cruised in local waters, she is offered for sale in clean and tidy condition with all the sailing qualities for which these classic yachts are justly renouned.

The hull and decks were professionally repainted about ten years ago and she looks great. Deck layout is as original with the addition of a Harken headsail furler for easier handling. Below decks she is as originally fitted out by Jim Sly in 1970 with a V berth forward, two settees with lee cloths and a single quarter berth. There is an enclosed toilet and a basic sea going galley with plenty of stowage. She has a good sized chart table with an impressive array of Brookes and Gatehouse 1970 vintage electronics, sadly no longer functional. There is some basic safety gear.

She was recently re-engined with a new Volvo Penta D1-30 three cyinder diesel engine with just 67 hours run. Forward mounted for IOR trim, engine access for servicing is great!  Tiller steered and has a hydraulic backstay adjuster.

S & S 34s are legendary for their sailing capabilities and have been the choice of many round the world sailors over the years. This one has served her first and only owner well for the last 47 years and has plenty of sailing life left in her yet. She is now offered at a very reasonable price to her next custodian.
